Ingredients

Food For The Soul Vasudev Veggie Burgers
Vasudev Veggie Burgers
3 cups of fresh shredded collard greens.

2 cups chickpea flour (Besan)

1/2 cup corn grits.

1/2 cup rice flour.

1-inch ginger grated.

2 tsp black pepper powder.

1 tsp turmeric powder.

3/4 cup of white sesame seeds.

1 tsp Aforesaid.

1/2 a cup melted butter/olive oil.

1 tsp garam masala.

1 tsp baking powder.

Ghee (clarified butter) /coconut oil to shallow fry.

 Salt to taste.

Recipe:

In a large mixing bowl put the shredded collard greens with all the spices and salt and cover the bowl and leave it aside for 20 mins. With the spices and salt added to the greens they leave out their flavorful juice which is the base to mix the remaining dry ingredients.

After 20 mins open the lid and add flours, sesame , corn grits , melted butter/olive oil and baking powder and mix well. Let is set for 10 mins.

After 10 mins , heat an iron skillet , pour 1 tbsp of ghee/olive-oil on the pan. Now using an round cup spoon/ice-cream spoon , pour the batter in small quantity as seen the image(medium heat). Pour 1tsp ghee/olive oil on each burger. Wait for 3-4 mins and then flip it and let the other side turn golden brown as shown in the image. (your cook time may differ by what kind of pan  you use). Repeat the procedure for remaining batter. Offer and honor the remnants of the Lord and relish you soul.

Serve hot with Mint Tomato Chutney/ catsup (jain sauce )You may also use burger with bread and veggies , sauce and cheese. they taste great!!!!!
