What is my Dosha why I need to know ?
Ayurveda recognizes three types of body, called doshas and they are Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Each of these doshic body types uses metabolic energy in its own unique pattern and results in different physical, emotional and metal characteristics which can be used to describe us, as well as everything around us. Commonly one dosha is more dominant and guides the way of lifestyle that can suit you the best. You may also have a second dominant Dosha, and some may experience and equal blend of all three is called Tridoshic..
This unique ratio is called "PRAKRITI" or your natural state, and when these natural state -prakriti is disturbed, we experience illess and diseases of mind and body- "VIKRITI". But the good news is that in Ayurveda, by getting to know the Doshas and their qualities, we can use our symptoms to identify the Dosha see which one is aggravated and we need to bring it back to balance as per our Prakriti.
When you take my Ayurveda Quiz, please be sure not to subconsciously try to tweak your results to be a certain Dosha, remember we are a bit of everything and our body constitution is constantly affected by our environment. Pick one of the three choices by trusting your gut instinct rather over analyzing. If you feel there are symptoms of two Doshas present, go with the one which are always been prominent for most of your life and take another quiz which can help you determine your imbalances, which could be your recent Vikriti.
Note: The prefect way to inquire your Prikriti and Vikriti is by seeing a Vaidya -an Ayurvedic doctor who can check your pulse and determine a lot more than just the Doshas.
