About Me |
Sundari Dasi

I was born & raised in a traditional south Indian family in Mumbai, India. At a young age, my family taught me the science of Bhakti Yoga, a life of devotional service to the Lord where kitchen and cooking are an extension of spiritual life.
Fresh, exotic vegetables, aromatic spices, and flavors inspired me to understand Ayurveda's ancient cooking science. My Sattvic recipes are original dishes in the mode of goodness and purity; they provide numerous health benefits to the mind, body, and soul. My devotional service to the Lord compels me to share my humble, delicious recipes with you so, I created for your benefit and enjoyment, Food For The Soul.
By God's grace, I married into a fine Indian Gaud Sarasvat Brahmin family. My in-laws and extended family offered me ample opportunities to learn and explore Mangalorean and Karnataka dishes. My wonderful husband, a yoga teacher with a master's degree in Yogic Sciences and Vedic Astrology, lovingly encouraged me to pursue an education in yogic practices as well. I received my degree from S. Vyasa, a category 'A' University located in Bangalore, India.
Since then, I have become a full-time homemaker and entrepreneur raising Two beautiful children, Bumi and Nemi. The Lord has blessed me with an insatiable desire to experiment and create a beautiful fusion of tasty, savory recipes for the world to enjoy.
I invite you to join me in an exciting adventure of Sattvic cooking and self-discovery as I create more recipes, experimenting in my kitchen with innovative thoughts and ideas to cook for the Lord.
Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you find the information helpful in your journey to make your FOOD FOR THE SOUL more nourishing for your body and mind, Namaste.
